I’m running out of excuses to produce bad T-SQL:

We just finished moving up the street in downtown Chicago, and I’ve finally made it: I’ve got the proverbial corner office.ย The view north up Michigan Avenue:

That’s Millennium Park, home of the Bean, Buckingham Fountain, and lots of festivals. On the left side, the Art Institute and the Gehry-designed Pritzker Pavilion finish up the park just short of a line of skyscrapers including the Microsoft offices where our local user group meets.ย The view east toward Lake Michigan:

When I look over my monitor, I see Lake Shore Drive, Shedd Aquarium, Adler Planetarium, and the Field Museum.

Now that’s a nice view, I’ll admit I’m a little jealous.
I am shocked however to see just the one lonely monitor, call yourself a DBA ๐
John – yeah, I’m still saving up. I’ve promised myself I won’t buy one new monitor until I can afford to buy two of the big Apple cinema displays. It’s been something like 5-6 years now and I’m still on this cheap (but surprisingly good) 28″ one, so taht tells you where my priorities are!
Nice office, nice view, I too am jealous, but everytime I hear of your dog Ernie I somehow feel less human.
Ernie – HAHAHA, funny. Don’t worry, I’m sure you’re smarter than Ernie. Pretty sure, anyway. ๐
I think I envy you. I am so jealous that I will not write anything more.
Very nice view, hope no project to build something in front of your office. Wish you success and all the best!
Thanks! Actually, they can’t – the green space is all city parks, and it’ll stay this way forever. It’s a big selling point for the condos around here.
How much do you charge for a weekend rent? Wed love to visit. Make it a side company. ‘live the Brento life, for a day. Only $XXX per day.’
HAHAHA, for you, sir, no charge. Come on down anytime!
Excellent views! Bet you’ll have a front-row seat for the G-8 “festivities” in a few months too ๐
Ha, it has to be sad to sit in a corner :-).
Congratulations, that’s an awesome view.
This is a super cool place Brent, just love the view ๐ Have fun and Best wishes
To bad Apple quit making the 30″ cinema HD display. Would really like a couple of them.
